Dr. Noor Mohamed is Lecturer of Criminology at Birmingham City University, United Kingdom teaching Transnational Organised and Corporate Crime, Crime Prevention, Legal Processes and Core Issues in Crime & Punishment modules. He was a Customs Officer with over 20 years of professional enforcement experience - specialising in field operations, surveillance, intelligence gathering, detection and prosecution of organised smuggling and customs fraud syndicates. His PhD was an in-depth investigation into organised kidnap for ransom and a study of a successful Triad kidnapping group which explored themes such as career criminality, sub-cultural tolerance of crime and the political economy of crime.
