About

Professor John Sparrow is Associate Dean and Professor of Occupational Psychology in Birmingham City Business School, and is a registered psychologist with the Health Professions Council. He has conducted work on behalf of the EU, UK Government, industry federations, large businesses, small and medium sized enterprises, and third sector organisations. He has written extensively on organisational cognition, knowledge management and reflective practice as they relate to knowledge creation and use. He has a particular interest in the role of cognition (including emotion) and collaboration in creativity, decision-making, learning and innovation, and the contribution that coaching and other forms of facilitation can make.
