About
I lecture to undergraduate Psychology students on the modules; Social and Developmental Psychology, Cognitive and Biological Psychology, Biological Psychology, Developmental Psychology and also Research Methods.
The majority of my research experience is in the area of assessing autistic behaviours in children with rare syndromes. During my PhD i looked at assessing and measuring autistic phenomenology in children with Septo-Optic Dysplasia, Optic Nerve Hypoplasia and Isolated Hypopituitarism. Furthermore, as children with Septo Optic Dysplasia and Optic Nerve Hypoplasia can demonstrate varying degrees of visual impairments and/or intellectual disability the thesis also examined how these characteristics can impact children's cognitive, adaptive and maladaptive behaviours (Self Injurious Behaviours, Repetitive Behaviours and Sensory Processing Disorders). Currently these findings of the thesis are being written up for publication for the purpose of dissemination.
